Monday Motivation - Start Strong, Stay Consistent

Happy Monday, IABX community!

"Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going." – Jim Ryun

This Monday, let’s remind ourselves that while motivation lights the fire, habit keeps it burning.

Every great achievement starts with a spark—a moment of clarity, excitement, or inspiration. That’s motivation, and it’s powerful. It’s what pushes us to begin writing that first chapter, sign up for that workshop, or finally chase the dream we’ve had in our hearts for years.

But motivation is temporary. It fades, shifts, and sometimes disappears altogether. That’s where habit becomes our greatest ally.

When we commit to showing up—especially on the days we don’t feel like it—we begin to build habits that support our goals. Writing a few paragraphs each morning, reading for 15 minutes before bed, or setting aside time to reflect on our progress—these small, consistent actions add up to big results.

Building habits takes time and patience, but once they’re in place, they carry us further than motivation ever could on its own. They keep us moving, even on days when inspiration is hard to find.

This week, we challenge you to do two things:

🔹 Start something you’ve been putting off—no matter how small the step.

🔹 Choose one habit that will support your progress, and commit to it daily.

The journey of an author—or any creator—isn’t about waiting for the perfect moment. It’s about creating momentum through routine, structure, and intention.

Keep going—you’re doing better than you think.

Have a motivated and meaningful week ahead.

Have a great week!
