You are unique! Your work is unique! So, do not try to water it down to suit the tastes of those in your immediate environment, they do not necessarily account for most of the world’s population – you know.
Here is a motivation and a tip all in one - write first, edit later. While editing is very important, you cannot edit a blank page which is why you first need to pour your story out in its truest form. Sometimes we get caught up in the naysayers and completely miss the point of getting the story on paper.
Do not destroy a beautiful story to please a never-satisfied audience, also a good tip to apply to your life. Do not destroy the beauty that you are to please an unsatisfied world.
