Amber Noble Garland is a true renaissance woman – wife, mother, entrepreneur, best-selling author, dynamic speaker, success coach, business strategist, real estate expert, mentor and non-profit founder.
Amber spent a decade as a marketing and promotions executive in the Radio Industry before being recruited to the global music powerhouse, Def Jam Records in 2001. There, she devoted six years to the music label founded by entertainment icon, Russell Simmons. Her role initially placed her at the right hand of the company’s former President and CEO, Kevin Liles. She was promoted to the roles of Marketing Director & Product Manager for global music icons like Jay-Z, LL Cool J, The Roots, Patti LaBelle, Lionel Richie and The Isley Brothers.
Since 1996, Amber has negotiated nearly $20 million in contracts for her clients in the areas of radio, television, digital platforms, book deals, speaking engagements and brand endorsements. As a high-profile talent manager of 20 years, until her recent retirement as a day-to-day manager and transition to sought-after consultant/ advisor/deal negotiator, she’s played an integral part in the career development and expansion for prominent men and women. Amber has represented syndicated radio personalities, TV hosts, best-selling authors, an Emmy award-nominee, a Golden Globe award-winner, a Gracie award-winner and a world-class athlete. Over the course of two decades, a few of her notable talent management clients have included Egypt Sherrod, Idris Elba and Laila Ali.
Amber is a Realtor® and Broker-Associate, licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, who’s received numerous awards for her record-breaking production and annual sales volume. Amber co-wrote the national best-selling books, Driven Success, Mastering the Art of Success and Keep Calm…It’s Just Real Estate: Your No-Stress Guide To Buying A Home, and she was nominated for an NAACP Image Award as a result of her contribution to the book. To commemorate the 10-year anniversary of being successfully self-employed during the U.S. economic recession, she will publish Unapologetically Ambitious, a memoir and “how-to” book – chronicling how she left the prestigious “dream job” and ultimately landed on her feet at a very rough time in our nation’s history.
She’s been a dynamic speaker for Black Enterprise’s Entrepreneur’s Summit and alongside Barbara Corcoran at Inc. Magazine’s summit for female entrepreneurs, a moderator for the EPIC Conference, a featured panelist for the National Urban League Conference and an instructor/facilitator of programs held at Kean University, Seton Hall University and Princeton University.
